Hi everyone -
As you might know, this week I began my daily radiation + chemotherapy regimen (to treat a malignant brain tumor that was removed this summer). For the most part, I’m not expecting any real problems with this process (aside from a little nausea the pills have already given me). And many of you have been wonderful about lending/offering assistance as needed, something I’m incredibly grateful for…
Some of you have asked for specific ways you can lend assistance; I do have one specific need at this time. My radiation treatments happen daily at 3:00pm at the Cancer Ctr., near St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham. For the time being, I’m able to use WTA services to get back and forth to my Lynden house, but that’s not going to be a very realistic option full-time for seven weeks.
So, I’m looking for folks that would be willing to shuttle me one-way, or back and forth (for an appt. that usually takes about 10-15 min.). I’ve made a chart of days/appt. times below; please let me know if you’re available to help me out in this way. Thanks in advance.

I hope my chart makes sense: I’ve listed each day for the next 7 weeks, plus the time(s) of my appointment(s) in Bellingham. For my personal records, I’ll put your name next to a day that you’re available to drive. Any times/days that aren’t covered, I’ll be able to use the bus.

Hi Phil! I want to help. I can drive you there and back all the Wednesdays from October 8th through November 12th. (I see your calendar lists 11/12 as a Tuesday, but it’s a Wednesday.)

Hey Buddy! Heading our way???? One of the blessings of this is seeing the love and care of your friends and family. Of course now you’ll have to send everyone Christmas cards since they have been so good to you.hhehehehee. perhaps you’ll find a wife thru this whole winding road? At least you can pre-qualify her….hehehee
Daily, we talk to God about you. Press on! Thanks for the updates. The name of the “voice program” I metioned is Dragon and most recent is 8. Our friend says it is expensive ..like $800 but if you surf on line, you can get one for $80, which he did.

If anyone falls through on driving you to your appts. at the cancer center, let me know. It would be a good time to get to know you.

Hi Phil,
Love to help out with transportation and have a chance to visit with you. I can drive on Tuesday, 11/4 and Tuesday, 10/28. I can also do Tuesday 11/11, but the 11:15, 11:40 & 3:00 times are a bit confusing. Lemme know what you need.
I’m finding your web fascinating to read, and a moving peek into your mind and heart. I’m definitely looking forward to conversations around some of those subjects!
